Harvard Alumni for Black Advancement will host a webinar entitled, "Critical Race Theory: Facing America’s True History" on Thursday, September 9th from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM EST.
Recent legislation has attempted to whitewash American history by restricting how race, gender, and the nation's history are taught.
The conversation will discuss coordinated, nationwide attacks against critical race theory, intersectionality, and equity as well as strategies to resist such efforts.
Panelists include journalist and author A'Lelia Bundles AB '74, family physician and epidemiologist Camara Phyllis Jones RDI '20, Berkeley School of Law Professor Ian Haney López JD '91, Yale University Associate Professor Daniel HoSang, and NAACP Legal Defense Fund Assistant Counsel Anuja Thatte. Panelist bios are available here.
The audience will have time to ask questions at the conclusion of the event.
